Having always been active and in good health, I was lucky. I was rarely ill, exercised lots, ate well and recovered quickly.

Then peri menopause hit during a stressful time of life and everything changed.

A domino effect of symptoms followed, including bloating, poor digestion, dreadful flatulence, oral candidiasis, extreme fatigue and ongoing insomnia all of which resulted in an auto-immune reaction to anything I tried to eat.  I had little energy to move let alone exercise.

I had an excellent GP who ran multiple tests, sent referrals to specialists, I had biopsies, more tests and a potential 'Idiopathic' diagnosis (no understanding of the cause). None of the prescribed anti fungals, PPI's and steroids were helping.

I was broken.

This just didn't make sense, I had so many digestive issues and imbalances there had to be more going on in my gut.

Determined to get answers and understand what was happening and more importantly why it was happening, I turned to Functional Medicine. Advanced functional testing and comprehensive consultations from a nutritional therapist gave me the answers I was looking for. I had leaky gut, pathogenic bacteria and fungal overgrowth, depleted nutrients, my liver was struggling and my hormones were all over the place.  High stress, hormone fluctuations and regular alcohol were all major contributors.

This understanding was life changing and started my journey into functional medicine. Driven to help others like me, I started training in functional medicine and nutritional therapy.

I feel passionate about the preventative approach to health and helping others attain optimal health and wellbeing.

The goal isn’t to live as long as possible. It’s to live as energetically and vibrantly for as long as possible.

I have 25+ years of sales and leadership experience in the technology industry.

My time in leadership has shown me that I am passionate about listening and helping individuals make changes and achieve goals. Over this period, I constantly struggled with work-related stress, which impacted my health and general well-being due to a lack of sleep, low energy and leading to poor diet choices.

Since 2021, I have been on a journey to find better ways to manage stress, improve sleep, increase exercise, kick food cravings and improve wellbeing.

As part of my journey, I wanted to enhance my understanding of health and well-being and studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine to become a certified Health Coach.

I’m a certified Oxygen Advantage Instructor and studied Wim Hoff. I specialise in teaching individuals how to enhance their functional breathing to boost endurance, reduce stress, and improve overall physical and mental performance.

I have a continued interest in gut health and helping clients better understand the impact of diet on the gut microbiome, how DNA can impact digestive function and the impact potential food sensitivities can have on overall well-being.
