Testing Refund Policy for Functional You

1. Overview

Functional You provides functional health testing including Gut Testing and DUTCH Hormone Testing. We aim to ensure clarity and confidence in your purchase. Please read the policy below before ordering. If you need assistance, contact us at info@functionalyou.co.uk


2. Refund Eligibility (7 Days)

Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase. You may receive a refund if your test kit has not been dispatched or is returned unopened. Once a kit has been allocated by the laboratory, associated costs apply.

Before dispatch: Refunds are issued minus a £15 administration fee.

After dispatch: Only unopened, unused kits returned within 7 days qualify for a partial refund, minus outbound shipping and the lab processing fee (£35–£60, depending on the test).
Refunds cannot be issued once a kit is opened, damaged, or used.

3. Testing Kits (Gut & DUTCH Testing)

We cannot provide refunds for:

Opened or tampered kits

Kits with samples already sent to the lab

Incorrect test selection once dispatched

Kits not returned within the required timeframe

If the lab rejects a sample due to collection error, a replacement kit may be offered at additional cost.

4. Lost, Damaged, or Missing Kits

If your kit arrives damaged, incomplete, or fails to arrive, please notify us within 7 days of expected delivery. Once the issue is confirmed, we will arrange a replacement kit at no extra cost. Reports made after this period may not qualify for replacement.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or return, please email info@functionalyou.co.uk
with your name, order number, test purchased, and reason for your request. If a return is approved, you will receive instructions and the return address. Customers are responsible for return postage unless the kit is faulty or incorrect. Please use a tracked postal service, as we cannot issue refunds for items lost in transit. Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days once the returned item has been received and inspected.
