Lifecode GX Hormones Test (DNA), Interpretation & Plan
Nutrigenomics is the study of how genes and nutrients interact, this test allows you to explore your genetic blueprint and understand how your body uniquely responds to steroid hormones. This knowledge gives us the ability to help dial up or dial down these genetic variants with personalised dietary interventions to promote hormone balance.
Steroid hormone imbalances can impact both men and women, leading to a variety of symptoms such as:
- Menstrual irregularities
- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Endometriosis
- Mood swings
- Depression
- Memory issues
- Weight gain
- Prostate Issues
- Infertility
- Reduced libido
- Low sperm count
- Acne
- Hormone-sensitive cancers such as breast and prostate
The Hormones test identifies how specific gene variants may contribute to hormone imbalances and provides insights into the nutrients and environmental factors that can help improve and maintain hormonal balance.
These valuable insights can help with;
- Understanding the cause of your symptoms
- Provide you with a personalised approach to balance your hormones
- Reduce perimenopause hormone fluctuations
- Manage the risk of hormone-related conditions
